Intermediate Software Engineer

This is a remote job for anyone located in CANADA: Moz is looking for an Intermediate Software Engineer to work with us on creating the next generation of data processing infrastructure and AI innovation for our products as well as supporting our existing systems. What You’ll Do

  • Be part of a small, nimble team writing and maintaining systems in Python and Ruby  
  • Build and use APIs, distributed systems, ETL pipelines, data analysis systems, and develop effective strategies for monitoring/alerting
  • Leverage Docker, Terraform, Databricks, Unix systems & tools, and AWS systems including EMR, ECS, S3, EC2, Elasticache in your day-to-day work  
  • Work with leads to design systems and platforms for Moz’s next generation of products.  
  • Manage and improve the storage, retrieval, and transformation of Moz data. Challenges come in the form of data scale and computational efficiency.  
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, handling systems and operations issues as they arise.  
  • Work with your manager to devise a plan for future career growth, including mentorship of junior developers and receiving mentorship from senior developers.  
  • Ensure the quality and performance of Moz’s data platform through code review, documentation, metrics and logging analysis, etc.

Required Experience/Skills

  • 3+ years experience in a software development role where work directly affected customer or end-user product experience or performance.  
  • Proficiency with Python or Ruby in a professional setting  
  • Ability to envision and execute complex systems in Cloud-based technologies  
  • Familiarity with APIs, big data, data analysis, and machine learning  
  • Experience maintaining production systems, responding to bugs and outages, managing uptime  
  • Time in a role with responsibilities outside of code, e.g., monitoring, instrumentation, operations, dealing with servers/containers, deployment, etc.  

Professional Education Manager

Work from home job with Dexcom, hiring in Canada: In this position, you will be responsible for the planning, development, and execution of all unaccredited educational initiatives as well as advisory activities with Canadian healthcare professionals (HCPs) involved in diabetes management (Primary Care, Specialy, Pharmacy).

Where you come in:

  • You will plan, develop and execute all unaccredited educational initiatives for Canadian HCPs including:
    • Dexcom Deep Dives – Webinars on various diabetes topics with a link to rtCGM
    • Content creation for in person and virtual educational events/workshops

  • You will keep up-to-date on new and emerging clinical evidence with the use of rtCGM across the category.

To be successful in this job, you have attention to detail for accuracy of medical and scientific content as well as a strong understanding of diabetes across the lifespan and category of CGM as well as the compliant execution of non-accredited medical education in Canada.

They would like you to be a results-oriented, self-disciplined, motivated individual that requires minimal supervision and able to multitask several projects at one time. Additionally, you have strong communication skills (oral/written).

You have a track record of project management skills and expertise across medium to large-scale projects with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • You have a high knowledge of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
  • You have experience training to medical device products.
  • You are fluent in both English and French.

Travel Required:

  • 15 – 25%

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 – 12 years of related experience.
  • At this level a graduate degree may be desirable with the 4 years of related experience.

The salary range is CAD $94,900.00 – $158,100.00
